The journey throughout my career has been much like creating a painting. You know what you want the end product to look like, but you are not quite sure how to get there.
You start by prepping your canvas and underpainting the background, much like an education is the foundation of a successful career.
Next, you slowly block in the distant objects, underpaint the foreground, and add some details; similarly, you gain career experience with every position.
Finally, you highlight and glaze the painting; as you would define your career though leadership experiences, expert knowledge, and continuing education.
